Fundraising for Beatson Cancer Charity
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In early 2015, I found a lump on my breast. A few weeks later on St Patrick's Day, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Our world stopped. We cried, we stressed, we worried about what to tell our kids but above all else we were determined that I was going to get through it.
I couldn't have gotten through it without the love and support of my family and friends, the amazing care and dedication of the NHS staff and in particular the teams at the Victoria Infirmary and the Beatson. The team at the Beatson want to make things better for EVERYONE affected by cancer.
I don't want to be a statistic. I've lost too many special people to cancer and it's affected too many people I know and love. I'm almost 2 years down the line, luckily I am doing well and much healthier and fitter than I've ever been. I'm so lucky that I can do this small gesture to raise some much needed funds for the Beatson.
