Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running my first and most likely my last Marathon in memory of my Dad, Hamish Moffat, who died at the very young age of 34 from Stomach Cancer.  I was only 9 when he passed away but I still think about him every day.  I wanted to do something in his memory that would help others that are fighting against this disease.  I am also running in memory of my Uncle George Moffat, Uncle Bing Crosbie and my Granny Moffat who have also lost their battles with Cancer.

Treatments and cures have progressed so much over that last 31 years since dad died and this is due to charities such as Cancer Research UK and I want these improvements to continue.  I know Dad will be extremely proud of the charity work that I have done to date and I want to continue fundraising until more treatments and cures are found.
