Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I stumbled across Building Malawi earlier this year. I had been looking for a volunteering opportunity for some time and it was important to me that I did something practical and in a situation where my time was as important as my money and that actually meant I could meet the people I was helping. I may change my mind the first time I have blisters on my hands ... but hey ho!

Building Malawi physicaly builds school and library buildings and hands them over to local groups to run. That way the schools and libraries are not dependant on regular support they fund themselves  and the organisation can show people that donate very clearly where the money goes they can literally point at the building people helped build!

I am definately going in skivy capacity and fully expect to be trundling wheelbarrows around as well as getting involved in the sports activities as apparently over 400 children come to the school every day to play netball and football. 

It would be great if you could support me with a donation however small to help the project - alternatively think of it as a way to keep me away from my emails for 2 weeks which in itself is a charitable action!!!
