Those of you who know me know that my daughter Sarah has suffered with severe ME for the last 16 years.  It's an illness that has no cure and very little in the way of effective treatments.  Her life has been severely compromised, she is bed bound most of the time, sometimes she doesn't even have the energy to brush her own teeth.  She sometimes has to be turned and fed.  She used to swim for Sheffield, do gymnastics and dance, she has been robbed of her life and what she could have been because of this dreadful illness.  

The walk we are doing might not be the greatest distance in the world but with her two sons and niece and two nephews - aged 21, 14, 10, 4 and 2 years old it might be the longest!!!  Her two sons want to try to make a difference for their Mum who they see in pain so very often and have to do things for her that most children do not.  Her niece and two nephews are idolised by Sarah and they love to spend time with  ' Aunti'  whether it is just watching a film at her side, reading books or drawing with her.  

Please give what you can.  Sheffield ME Group is a local charity giving hands on support to people like Sarah throughout the South Yorkshire area - there are over 7000 people in our area that have ME or Fibromyalgia and every one needs help in some way.
