Story

As part of my work with OxSight I have personal knowledge of just what a great charity and cause Retina UK is.  Retina UK do incredible work to support people affected by inherited progressive sight loss and invest in medical research to ensure that people can lead a fulfilling life

Having personally met both the charities organisers and members I felt it was time to step up and try to help.  Retina UK have kindly offered me a place on their 2019 London Marathon team which I am beyond excited about!  I have ran one marathon before in a shade under 5 hours and was then unable to walk down stairs for a week.  I am very much not a natural runner (more of a natural cake eater!) and I only started running a couple of years back.

I wanted to up the stakes and give myself something scary to work towards so I commit to completing 20 x 20 miles runs before the end of 2020 including the 2019 London and Abingdon Marathons.  To add a cherry on top I will attempt to run at least one of these marathons in under 4 hours.
