Story
In 2005 a woman called Dilanee was visiting the East Coast of Sri-Lanka, that had been devastated by the Boxing Day tsunami of 2004. She found a doll's arm on the beach, and it struck her that the child who owned the doll had almost certainly died. She made a promise to that child to do all she could to help the people of that region to rebuild their lives.
Despite the passing of years, many schools have very little, and families are still living in temporary accommodation. In October, Beattie will go to Sri Lanka to bring resources, to help teach in local schools, and to do whatever is most needed.
She has already raised over £600 towards Ocean Stars, and now we want to make a big push with this bike ride to ensure we have done all we can to raise as much as possible. Everything you give goes to the projects in Sri Lanka.
