Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune condition, not caused by diet, lifestyle or by something someone did or didnt do. The condition affects over 400,000 people in the UK, who face thousands of insulin injections and finger prick blood tests each year just to stay alive. Thousands of walkers are raising £135,000 this Autumn to get one step nearer the cure for type 1, including us taking part in the One Fun Run Aberdeen.
