Bike4Charity London to Paris 24 Hour Charity Challenge · 31 March 2014

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

I have been selected to join the Bike4Charity Team for their first ‘public’ ride! This is not a standard London to Paris group ride, as the challenge is even greater : we have a time limit of just 24 hours to complete the 200 mile journey. This is no easy feat as the ferry journey takes up approximately 5 hours of this allotted time, plus the timing means that it is right at the end of the winter training months and so there is little time to gauge fitness levels! This event brings together an intimate group of riders who share the same ethos as Bike4Charity; wanting to raise money for charity, whilst remaining active and enjoying the pleasure of a bicycle. This my individual page for you to donate on – but please do check out the team page to find out about other riders!
