Story
In July 2018 I am going to be attempting to climb all 214 peaks in A. Wainwrights Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells. This encompasses 214 peaks, 423 miles of walking, 130777 feet of climbing, including England's highest mountain. I am aiming to complete this challenge within 17 days. As well as a personal achievement, I'm looking to raise money for a great local charity that perhaps flies under the radar of a lot of people. A member of my family is already a volunteer rider for Blood Bikes Manchester and I would like to be able to support the selfless work he and all the others do to help the community.
Blood Bikes Manchester is a charity setup in Greater Manchester that transports Blood, Plasma, Platelets, Samples, Vaccines, Donor Breast Milk and any other urgently required medical items to hospitals - at night, daytime weekends and bank holidays. This service is provided completely free of charge by amazing volunteers who all offer their time for no pay or reward, allowing the NHS to divert funds where they are needed most.
All transport will be provided by myself, but I am looking for any voluntary accommodation to help me along my way. If anybody owns or is aware of places to stay around the Lake District area which they are willing to offer for free I will donate £10 per place out of my own pocket. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
