Rosemere Cancer Foundation supports world-class care for the 70,000 people in Lancashire and South Cumbria currently living with cancer, by funding cutting-edge equipment, research, training, and patient welfare projects to make their cancer journey more effective, comfortable and stress-free.

Story

Madness!!!

Back in February ,some bright spark thought it would be 'a laugh' to cycle 170 miles in 3 days from Morecambe, through the Lakes and North Yorkshire to the East coast for charity.

After putting it off for months, I started training last week and now with 2 weeks to go before the start of the ride , I can confidently state that I have racked up over 20 miles on the bike and a considerable amount of localised chaffing!!

Impressive stuff eh!!

The 8 of the 9 man team from Conlon Construction ,men of all different shapes sizes and abilities , have been putting themselves through hell over the last few months with harsh training regimes and strict diet plans. Some of the team haven't had a beer or curry since last Saturday!!

Athletes-one and all I think you'll agree

The aim is to have a laugh, a few beers, raise a few quid and still have use of everything below the waist by Sunday 22nd June.

Our chosen charity, The Rosemere Foundation, are a well-deserving local charity that help cancer sufferers throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria.

I think everyone has a story about a family member or friend that has needed treatment for some cancer or other.

Times are hard but please give what you can.

Thanks very much

Shaun
