90% of the people I've met and known have been affected by cancer in some form; whether that be themselves or a family member or friend.

Cancer is something that affects each and everyone of us and anything that is raised can help go towards researching and finding ways of really kicking cancers butt!

Just over a year ago my Aunty Kathy passed due to a form of cancer. I wish I could say this the only person in my family that has been affected by this cruel disease however I've unfortunately had to say goodbye to other members of my family also. These were all incredibly strong people and if I become half as strong as these were, I will be a very happy woman. 

It doesn't all end this way however!  Another member of my family has quite recently had extensive treatment for throat cancer. There's been a lot of ups and downs and even when he got the all clear, the struggle didn't end there. The treatment had repercussions on his ability to eat,drink and speak for a period of time however he did it and he's shown that cancer can be beaten.

There are people all over that are heavily affected by this and it's something that touches each and every one of us in some way or another.  There are still people in my family that are fighting their battle and now is the perfect opportunity to try and raise some money in their honour and contribute as much as I can to help prevent this from happening to someone else.

I'm doing the half tough mudder which is going to be a lot harder than I imagine it will be! But please put together what you can and help me to help as many people as we can.
