For five days (October 18 - 22, 2021), the women of the Junior League of Washington will wear a little black dress in an effort to raise awareness about poverty and its effects in the DC area and raise funds for the JLW Community Assistance Fund. Please join me in raising money for various non-profits that support communities in need, in and around the DC area.  Poverty is not a personal problem, it's not a laziness problem, it's not a welfare problem and it's not confined to any race or ethnicity; it's a top down systemic issue that we all must work together to resolve.
