Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
2007 marked BUPA's 60th Birthday and to acknowledge this, BUPA’s community connections team sent 60 employees from around the world to Sarnelli House, located in Nong Khai, North East Thailand, to undertake a maintenance and regeneration project for the orphanage. Sarnelli House is an orphanage which is home to over 100 children who either live with HIV or Aids, or who have been orphaned by the disease. The orphanage is run by Reverend Michael Shae who has lost 140 adults to Aids within the last 10 years and has taken responsibility for the children that have been left behind. The 60 members travelled to the orphanage and completed a wide range of tasks from creating a games and play area for the children to helping build classroom facilities within the schools, and fully decorating and improving the existing facilities within the school. I was lucky enough to make it through the long application and interview process and was proud to be chosen to undertake what was a humbling and life changing challenge. In order to take part in the challenge I had to raise £1000.00 which I am pleased to say with the help of family and friends I was more than able to do and I have continued to support the charity ever since, and have kept this page open for others who wish to do so. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to raise money for a very worthwhile chairty, Pattaya Orphanage Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Many thanks for your support.
