Well what a day it's been. At times with a long uphill, headwind, and driving rain it felt gruelling, but on the odd occasion when the sun showed it's face as a decent stretch of downhill opened up it was absolute bliss! 50k in 3h15mins. No records broken but it was great to be out there. Many many thanks to all of you kind people that donated.

Many many thanks for those donations so far. You are all lovely people :0) I am a little concerned about the relish some seem to be showing regarding my impending bottom discomfort - I'm talking saddle soreness here ok!!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Prospect Hospice is a charity that I hold very close to my heart. In truth I knew nothing about the work they do until our need was truly desperate. The care that Donna (and I) received was second to none. Every single member of staff that I met was quite simply amazing and so if I can do even a small thing to support them so that they can continue to provide the same care to others then that is surely the most worthwhile of causes.
The 'little thing' that I am doing is a 50k bike ride through the mountainous terrain that is Wiltshire. I didn't know it was mountainous until I took part in a slightly shorter event to see where my fitness levels were and discovered that the legs aren't what they used to be! I was saddle sore for a week. And there wasn't even a pub stop along the way to recharge the batteries.
