Bunny's Fight for Mental Health

The White Collar Fight Club #18 · 8 October 2021 ·
My mum thinks I’m crazy but I’m gonna do it anyway because if you know me, you know I like a good challenge. Over the past one year, living in a pandemic, we’ve all experienced mental health negatively in some form or the other… It’s hard to fathom what one truly feels but I’ve personally had the experience of witnessing what it’s like living with continuous anxiety and overthinking. You wake up to a stream of thoughts that turn into a river as the day goes on making it almost impossible to happily fall asleep by the end of it.
I once weighed 132 Kgs at my heaviest and stepped into the gym to improve my physical fitness, however, I weigh 85 Kgs today and I realised going to the gym is no longer about my physical conditioning but my mental conditioning too, it’s the one place on earth where I can switch off from the outside world and focus on nothing but me and my thoughts.
I feel extremely pleased to announce that I will be boxing for Mental Health Awareness and will be spending the next 8 weeks in a fight camp with @TheWhiteCollarFightClub where I will complete my training under professional boxers ahead of the fight. I’ll also be under the personal supervision of Boxing Coach Paul Santamaria (@ecuabritboxer) and am looking forward to this challenge.
DM me (@bunnypuri_) if you’d like a place on my table / to purchase tickets to come watch me fight, event details below. You can also choose to donate towards the cause in whatever capacity you can, every little counts (all donations go towards @MindCharity for mental health support).
