At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have know my best friend Mounia Amrani for over 13 years, during which time I have also known and grown to love her dad Abdul Wahid. Sadly he was diagnosed with Frontotemperal Dementia in 2011 and his heath has been declining ever since. It's the worst thing in the world watch someone you love change into a different person.

I am participating in this challenge because I love my best friend and her dad dearly and I wanted to support her on this challenge. She has been an amazing inspiration to me during this difficult time as she has shown great strength, courage and determination to create as many memories as possible with her dad, despite the circumstances.

Mounia I am looking forward to doing this challenge with you and raising some money towards a very worthy cause.

Whatever you can spare, please donate as soon as you can. No amount too large or too small! Everything counts! Money raised will help Alzheimer's Society to continue to supports people to live well with dementia, as well as provide information and support for people with all types of dementia, their families and their carers. All of this work is invaluable as Dementia is caused by diseases of the brain and can affect anyone. There are currently over 800,000 people with dementia in the UK. Your support would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all in advance!
