Climbing Mount Everest To Rebuild Pakistan · 12 October 2022

Calling all doers, diehards and daredevils...Ever wanted to do something special? To rise above and go beyond? To push yourself beyond your limits and do something truly remarkable to make a difference to the world...?

Story

Asalamualaykum/Peace Be Upon You All

Inshallah next month, I will be heading out to the Himalayas, for a gruelling 12 day trek to Mount Everest Basecamp, reaching over 18,000ft.

Why am I doing this crazy feat?

More than 33 million people have been displaced.

According to the most recent reports, almost 1,000 people have tragically lost their lives, while approximately 220,000 homes have been destroyed.and more than 150,000 people are in need of life-saving assistance.

Insha’Allah my aim is to rebuild atleast one home for £2,400 / £200 per month – The home will consist of a one-room brick home complete with kitchen and washroom.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: "If anyone relieves a Muslim believer from one of the hardships of this worldly life, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection." (Muslim)
