I am working towards my bronze Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) award and for the voluntary element I have decided to fund raise for Age UK. This I will do by taking part in the ‘big knit’ by volunteering my time to knit hats; Innocent will pay 25 pence to Age Uk per hat donated. These hats end up on their smoothie bottles. 

Over the last couple of months I have newly learnt to knit these wonderful hats, having already knitted 17, my aim is to knit at least 50 hats for the DoE element. However I will continue to knit many more.

Age UK carries out research on; health, social and economic issues of ageing, and provides life-enhancing services and vital support to people in later life.
