Myself, Mandy and Jade are walking 30 miles a day this weekend for an amazing cause. Mandy and Jade have already walked 50 miles and raised £1500. I am joining them this weekend to make it up to 110 miles of the 200 miles in total. 

Treasures Foundation is supported housing for vulnerable women recovering from addiction and trauma. Treasures also operates in Cape Town, South Africa working with families affected by poverty and drug addiction. Treasures whole ethos is about giving back. 

We were going to climb Table Mountain in Cape Town, but sadly because of Covid we have had to cancel for the time being. We are setting ourselves the incredible challenge of walking the same distance as from London to York - 200miles. We are also doing a sleep out on the streets. 

We are fundraising for residential rehab places for people in the Townships to exit drug addiction and gang life. £200 per person funds them a place in rehab for 8 weeks and we want to fund 10 people (£2000). There is an after program to integrate these individuals back in to society which is also £200 per person, we would want to fund the same 10 people for this (£2000). Obviously this work remains ongoing and the need is forever great so although our target states £4000 we are looking to raise as much as possible. The cover photo shows some of the people we have already funded and some of the people the rehab has already allowed in for nothing but need to be funded for.
