Skydive for OFLAC · 8 October 2022

We are a Day Service and Cafe supporting adults with learning disabilities with life skills. We support them at our day service twice a week with a wide ranging fun packed agenda. Our FAB Cafe gives our trainees real life work experience preparing food and serving customers.

Story

Myself and a group of colleagues of mine have all decided to participate in a charity skydive for our charity of the year, OFLAC.

OFLAC (registered charity number: 298569) provide a social network and learning hub for adults with a learning disability.

The FAB café, situated in the Farnborough Library, provides a safe environment for vulnerable people and their carers.

The café creates opportunities for those with learning difficulties to partake in the operational activities of the running of the café, an opportunity they may not necessarily get in mainstream society. This could be in the form of baking in the kitchen, serving customers, processing transactions through the till, completing food safety certificates all with the help of a trained support worker available at the café every day. This enables members to develop self-confidence and gain valuable life skills to live a fulfilling and active life. Above else, it facilitates a vital community link.

Your donations will help OFLAC continue to provide a safe environment and opportunities to some of the most vulnerable people in our community

Any donations are greatly appreciated!
