Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As some of you will be aware the six of us will be competing (if that is the right word!) in the Roade Sprint Triathlon on Sunday 27th of September 2009.

The race comprises of an ardous 414m swim followed by an undulating 20km cycle and then finally a spirit crushing 5km run. Those of you who know us, or at least some of us, will realise just how much of challenge this will be for the group and how nobody wants to finish in last place.

Anyhow over the coming six weeks we shall be training diligently in our weakest disciplines (Ross is going to buy some armbands for the swim) and fine tuning our slightly less than stellar athletic prowess. With that in mind we would be grateful and much appreciative if you would be kind enough to sponsor us to raise some money for a charity, whose research and work, has helped one member of the group immensely.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

UPDATE: 28/09/09 - Post race:

Well the good news is that we all made it through in one piece, and in respectable times. For those of you interested in our (mis)fortunes the results can be viewed here:

We would like to thank you all for donating and for leaving some amusing, quirky and in some cases, down right puzzling comments.
