Janis Dewsbery is raising money for Alzheimer's Society
In memory of Malcolm Dewsbery
At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Shula’s Grandad died in April 2020, but that was just  his body leaving us.  Over the last 5 years we had slowly been losing him to Alzheimer’s disease. She  would like to raise money to help find a cure and help others suffering from this awful disease.  On Monday October 26th she is going to shave her head.  The  shaved hair will be donated to  The Little Princess Trust to make wigs for children that have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

Due to the local Covid restrictions we are no longer able to have my sister in law in the garden to do the shaving.

Angela and the team at Pure Hair Salon, Clarence Road, Sutton Coldfield have come to the rescue and offered to do it for us.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
