NSPCC - HACK walk, Malvern Hills · 26 June 2010 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

So here's my story....

I hate and loathe exercise.  Walking to and from my car, in and around my house and at work is as much exercise as I can usually manage.  Why,oh why, have I decided to participate in this 21 mile walk???

I have always felt passionately about protecting and nurturing children.  Children are the future and the adults in their lives have the power and responsibility to make or break them.  That there are adults in this world who abuse that power and deny that responsibility is wrong, plain wrong.  That there are adults in this world who cannot turn a blind eye to this is something to be proud of.

I am not sure that I will make it around the 21 miles.  Some have joked that they would not lose anything by sponsoring me because I am undertaking an impossible task.  With your donations, I hope that that would spur me on to complete the walk.
