Solstice Source to Sea Challenge · 21 June 2015 ·

The first river charity to be established in Scotland we work as guardians of the Water of Leith, raising the profile of this key environmental asset, educating and inspiring people to enjoy the Water of Leith and promote community action to help the river and its wildlife.

Story

We are aiming to walk  28 miles of Edinburgh's river, The Water of Leith, - "a silver thread in a ribbon of green" - from it's source in the Pentland Hills to the sea at Leith, on 21st June 2015.

WE DID IT! !!!  FROM 7.40AM TO 9PM!   9 PEOPLE!

THANKS FOR ALL DONATIONS.!

EVERYONE SUITABLY KNACKERED!

I volunteer at the Centre, which does amazing work to conserve, clean-up, educate and much more.

It is a wonderful green space, with trees and wildlife, and a retreat from our city environment.

The 28 mile walk is a big challenge for a good cause!  Thank you!
