2010 Sheffield Half Marathon · 25 April 2010 ·

At Bluebell Wood, we care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes. It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. We receive 16% Statutory funding.

Story

Sunday. The day when God decided to stay in bed, watch the Hollyoaks omnibus and nurse his hangover having created alcohol on the 6th day*. Not normally a day for getting up at silly o'clock and running 13.1 miles across the streets of the Steel City. However, that's what Richard Fenn and Sarah Maloney will be doing on the 25th April, when the Sheffield Half Marathon takes place.

This will be Rich's fourth time round but Sarah will be a débutante at the distance, however we're both training hard and we are eager for your backing as we're running for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, a local charity established in 1998 that provides care and support for children with life-limiting illnesses, as well as supporting their families.
