SUNC Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge · 30 April 2022

At Women for Refugee Women, we support women who have fled persecution including rape, gender-based violence, domestic violence, forced marriage, female-genital cutting, sexual violence, torture and trafficking to rebuild their lives on their own terms.

Story

13 members of Sheffield University Netball Club are taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge to raise money for Women for Refugee Women.

The Yorshire 3 Peaks Challenge is a 25 mile route that takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, in under 12 hours. We would appreciate your support in aid of such a worthwhile charity.

Women for Refugee Women is a small charity which supports women who are seeking refuge from persecution, including rape and other torture, to rebuild their lives and communicate their own needs and stories. We work in three main ways: to support and empower women seeking asylum; to communicate with wide audiences by telling the stories of refugee women through the media, events and arts projects; and to inform policy makers and politicians about how to build a fairer asylum process.
