Springboard Opportunity Group is for children with additional needs and disabilities from birth to 5 years and their families across North Somerset. It offers play, learning and care sessions at Clevedon and Weston super Mare. We have an Early Years' Inclusion Service and Family Support Service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I first started running five years ago having watched my daughter take part in charity runs. In my first event I walked most of the route in the pouring rain, got literally soaked to the skin but really enjoyed it.  I had the bug!  I went on to enter the Great North Run to celebrate my 60th birthday.
 
Following my retirement I started volunteering at Springboard after reading about their work in the local press.  I soon realised how important their facilities are for children with additional needs and their families.  I now run regularly with Clevedon Ladies Running Group and try to take part in one charity run a year, this year choosing to run for Springboard in the Bupa London 10,000 run on 27 May.
