Story
Sheila’s training buddy says: As Sheila’s training buddy there are two things I can say definitively about her. She doesn’t like hills and she definitely doesn’t like trails. I can add a third to that: she doesn’t like animals. The idea of a race that combines all three over the course of 22 miles sounds like her nightmare. Ever since she first signed up it has been a consistent point of bewilderment that she would want to undertake this. Horse vs. Man is a prestigious event for trail runners, but a trail runner Sheila is not. Therefore, she will need all the encouragement she can to conquer this and donating to Bethany Christian Trust will give her the added encouragement to hopefully reach the finish line before one of her new horse friends.
Sheila: As many of you will know, I love running but doing so on trails, up hills, through rivers and alongside horses is a massive challenge for me! I would welcome any support you feel you could give to the work of Bethany Christian Centre. The Centre is a residential unit for men seeking recovery from addiction. It offers the opportunity for men to find freedom, restoration and move forwards in their lives with hope. I would welcome any donation you feel you could give to spur me on and to support this invaluable work in Edinburgh. Thank you.
