Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Many of you will know that Freya has had the most amazing opportunity over the past 6 years to qualify and compete at both European and World Cheerleading Championships.  This has been a fantastic experience for her and we are very grateful for the opportunities she has had to participate in this.

In recognition of this we have decided to raise money for  SportsAid Scotland who are attempting to raise £10,000 in Olympic year through their 100-mile challenge.  This money will provide Awards to young athletes who have the potential to be future Olympians.  Athletes who have received these awards in the past  include Chris Hoy and Katherine Grainger.

The 100-mile challenge can be done over a number of events but we have to have each logged 100miles by the 31st December.  We will walk/trek our 100 miles and we are asking that you please sponsor us. We are looking for 50 people who will each sponsor us £2 and for this we will:

  • From the 9th - 13th June trek Mount Toubkal in Morocco, which is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and in North Africa ( 15 miles)
  • From the 23rd - 26th July walk from Crianlarich to Fort William the last (50 miles) of the West Highland Way.
  • In either late June or early August walk the Gritstone Trail over 2 days ( 35 miles).

Thank you for taking the time to read our page and thank you for any contribution you are able to make to this inspirational charity.

Sheila and Mike.
