Story
I completed the London Marathon! 4 hours 34 min and 55 seconds. Weather was good to the runners, despite a downpour 30 min before the start, the crowd support was absolutely fantastic (helped by the fact that I had my name in huge letters on my T-shirt, so was accompanied all along the course by shouts of Sheila, Sheila) and friends and family appeared at various places along the course to cheer me on.
Thank you all for your tremendous support. Knowing that I was running the marathon for the Rhys Daniels Trust and that I had raised this fantastic amount already kept my legs moving.
If you've just visited this page and still want to support me, please do. The Rhys Daniels trust will appreciate your donations.
THANK YOU ALL
Sheila
This is my second-ever Marathon. Thanks to everybody who supported me in 2007 when we raised the fantastic sum of £2,700!
This year I am running for a charity close to my heart: The Rhys Daniels Trust (www.rhysdanielstrust.org) which offers home-from-home accomodation for families of children with life-threatening illnesses.
Many thanks for your support. The race takes place on Sunday April 25th, 2010 - so hopefully I may see you somewhere cheering me on as I jog around London. Anyway, I'll keep you up to date with my progress,
