Story

The challenge for the Sheila Fleet Jewellery team is to cover the distance from our Workshop, in Tankerness Orkney to the Royal in Glasgow, return.  We have chosen to cover this distance, of 638 miles, to highlight, and honour, the only Pancreatic Cancer Specialist Nurse in Scotland.  This is the distance, we from Orkney, would have to physically travel to receive this specialist care.

We are raising funds for Pancreatic Cancer Action Scotland, in memory of Rick Fleet who we lost to Pancreatic Cancer in December 2013. We aim to not only raise funds but also awareness of the symptoms of Pancreatic Cancer.

Pancreatic Cancer Action are a national charity dedicated to saving lives by improving early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and the quality of patient survival. with your help we fund vital research, create medical education programmes, produce national awareness campaigns and vital patient information. Together we can make a difference!
