I'm hiking across the Grand Canyon from Rim to Rim on May 17.  I'll be starting at the North Rim on the Kaibab Trail, across to Phantom Ranch, and then up the South Rim on the Bright Angel Trail.  It's approximately a 25 mile hike.  Since I'm not a distance runner, this is the closest I'll ever get to a marathon! 

I've decided to use this event as a way to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  A dear friend of ours, Kathrin Huber, is a leukemia survivor and I cannot think of a more worthwhile recipient/cause.  She cares for our children when Brian and I travel and has become a beloved member or our family over the years.

If you have a few dollars or pounds to spare for a good cause, I would greatly appreciate it. TransEleven will be matching all donations as well.  But honestly, at the very least, I would be humbled to receive your well wishes and good thoughts.  I'm going to need it!
