Ever since primary school I've always enjoyed taking part in charity events and raising money for good causes.  Through Clydesdale Bank I was lucky to have been involved with Highland Hospice doing things like climbing Ben Wyvis and Ben Nevis, taking part in ‘It’s a Knockout’ and even roping Matty into a marathon hike across the Yorkshire dales. Mum and I have had so many adventures including a few Moonwalks in Edinburgh and London, a trip doon the Toon for me to do the Great North Run, walking for miles around Balmoral Estate and we’ve sold more cupcakes than you could imagine. I wish I’d kept a note or photo album of all the different things over the years.

In March, my wee sidekick Ramsay and I are going to be making a trip down to Falkirk to take part in the Supernova Run - a 5K run at dusk around the Kelpies - and will be raising money for SAMH.

SAMH is Scotland’s national mental health charity who work with adults and young people providing mental health social care support and services in primary care, schools and further education, among others. 

Having experienced mental health issues myself, this charity is close to my heart and every penny raised would mean so much to us. Even if you’re not able to donate please take some time to look at some of the great work done by SAMH or take some time to focus on your own mental health or reach out to those around you to check-in on their mental health. 

It’s fair to say Ramsay is pretty excited about getting to run about glowing in the dark around a couple of mahoosive lit-up horsies! 😂
