Last year my beautiful baby nephew was born perfect in every way, apart from his heart. His mummy and daddy knew his time with them would be brief, in fact he stayed with them for a whole 9 amazing days. 

From the moment James' prognosis was known, Claire House provided support to my sister and her husband, and the entire family. They visited James at home, and were there for his final peaceful moments. But their support did not end there. They invited James to spend the last part of his journey in their butterfly suite, a place sleeping Angel children can stay so their families can remain near. James stayed here, snuggled in his own cot, surrounded  by his own teddies, while his family faced the heartbreaking task of planning his funeral. 

Even now, nearly ten months on, they are still supporting James mummy and daddy.

Claire House could not save baby James, but they ensured his time with us was as special as possible, both before and after he fell asleep for the final time.
