On November 8th, a group of us spent the night at a winter shelter (St. James's Church, Piccadilly) to raise money for the West London Day Centre’s work with street homeless people.

WLDC is an amazing charity that transforms the lives of homeless individuals, empowering them to lead more fulfilling lives. Each day around 100 street homeless people visit the day centre where they are provided with immediate services to alleviate the hardships of rough sleeping (including a canteen, showers, laundry, clothing etc), health care, advice and referrals into accommodation and other necessary services, and longer term developmental services including employment, arts and music groups to build clients confidence, assist with social integration and support them in moving away from a street based lifestyle.
