Story
Yesterday marked the culmination of my 2023 sporting journey, as I crossed the finish line of the Manchester Half Marathon, feeling invigorated and proud.
At the beginning of this year, I pledged to undertake five sporting challenges to raise funds for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. My plan included the Manchester Marathon in April, half marathons in May and October, the RideLondon100 in May, and a memorable cycle from London to Paris in July.
Every drop of sweat, every mile covered, is a tribute to the real champions: the unwavering medical staff of the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital 🦸♂️.
Back in 2012, the same hospital played an instrumental role in one of the most crucial moments of our lives. My daughter was born there, and the exceptional care she received is something we will cherish forever. Today, she is a lovely 11-year-old, who is the captain of the netball team in her secondary school.
It's more than just gratitude; it's about paying it forward. I'm committed to supporting the very institution that stood by us during our most vulnerable time. By raising funds for the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, I hope to ensure that they can continue their vital work and help as many families as possible.
I humbly request you to join me in this noble cause. Any contribution, irrespective of its amount, has the power to transform lives. It will enable the hospital to guarantee that countless more children and families receive the crucial care they need in their challenging times.
To those who have already stood by this cause and donated, I offer my deepest gratitude. Your kindness has been both an inspiration and a pillar of strength.
