In November this year I will be going to Nepal to volunteer at a hospice in Kathmandu and spend 5 days trekking the Himalayas. I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of Hospiscare and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in the Himalayan Trek 2022.

I am proud to be doing this to fund raise vital funds for Hospiscare that is a local charity. For Hospiscare to be able to undertake the vital work that they do, they need to raise £8million a year to remain open for their patients and their families. This local facility currently has 750 patients that it is caring for, whether this is on its wards, out in the community or through its day care respite.

For every £1 that is raised, 89p goes directly to the patient and their care and support, which makes it one of the highest rates in the UK for money used directly for the intended cause. The remaining 11p is used on administrative costs.

Hospiscare has helped so many people and supported so many families, the work they do really does have a positive impact on the community, which is why I am so excited to be supporting them and helping to raise these much needed funds. Please help me help them by giving whatever you can.
