Story

Somjid Ali, a loving father, grandfather and husband, has passed away on 12am Tuesday, after suffering from a heart attack. Allah (SWT) tested him through multiple health issues, such as paralysis, diabetes, stroke and asthma, and he strived through them all for the sake of almighty Allah and his family.

He was a man of affection, kindness and the biggest heart you could ever know. Despite his struggle he still wanted to ease the difficulties of all his loved ones, and would not rest until he knew they were content. His smile and chatter would warm the hearts of everyone who met him. His smile and humour evoked the greatest of happiness in everyone.

He will be greatly missed, a comfort that we must learn to live without. His life will serve as lessons for us and generations to come, inshallah. Despite his difficulties he remained patient and wore the most adorable smile on his face.

May Allah forgive him, fill his grave with noor, and grant him eternal happiness in Jannah.

The prophet (peace be upon him) said “when a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and virtuous descendant who prays for him”

May Allaah allow us to be a means of benefit for him as well as ourselves.

A charity had been set up in his name to provide the children of Bangladesh education opportunities, in order for them to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

Please contribute whatever you are able to for the sake of Allah. Any amount, even the littlest, will make a difference.

I pray Allah accepts our work, and draws us closer to him.

Please keep shamjid Ali and his beloved family in your prayers 🙏❤️

Jazakallah khairun
