Pembrokeshire Coastal Path Kids Challenge · 19 March 2022

Sandy Bear exists to support children, young people and families in the lead up to or following the death of someone close to them. Our work ensures that no child grieves alone, and that they have space to understand and to develop resilience and overcome adversity.

Story

Autumn and Oceana, age 8 and 5 are walking the 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire coastal path in 2022 in aid of Sandy Bears Childrens Bereavement Charity.
Sandy Bears is such an important charity who support children through bereavement.
Autumn and Oceanas daddy, Ryan, tragically lost his own daddy at the age of 7 so as a family we sadly know first hand how valuable the service is that Sandy Bears provide.
Unfortunately such provisions did not exist when Ryan, and his brothers lost their dad.
Autumn and Oceana want to make sure that other bereaved children have access to this kind of support.
Having done a few practice walks we are aiming for 5-7 miles each walk, which should mean they can complete it in 30 days, weather dependant. For those that have young children, you will know that this may not always go to plan but this is what we are aiming for!
We are aiming to raise £186 to match the 186 miles of the coastal path. Please sponsor if you can. It would be very much appreciated. We will keep you updated along the way.
