Fundraising for Best Beginnings
Story
Those who know us, know we're not runners but we love a challenge so here we go!
On July 9th Chavez and I will be running the Westminster 10k in aid of Best Beginnings. We want to keep the good momentum going since the success of the London marathon and raise more money for this great cause!
I had a challenging time when I first became of a mum. I lost confidence and hated feeling that way. Thanks to my wonderful nurse, Dorothy, I learned to understand that what I was feeling didn't make me a bad mum - it was something lots of mums went through and it was then that I realised how important it is to share how we feel - with Dorothy's kind support I began to rebuild my confidence.
I don't want other mums to go through what I went through so I shared my story in the brilliant free BABY BUDDY app created by the wonderful charity Best Beginnings. Best Beginings are making sure that all parents are supported and reassured (even if they don't have a Dorothy). Best Beginnings has all sorts of free programmes to help you in your journey through to parenthood and beyond.
As a Best Beginnings ambassador I hope that the money I raise from my run will go towards the development of a special Dad's app too.
