Freeda is a confidential service which offers support, advice and safe accommodation to victims of domestic violence 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We offer the opportunity to talk in confidence about what is happening. You do not have to stay at the home to receive our support.

Story

Three women have pledged to take part in a monthly challenge, in order to raise awareness and increase funds to support the work of the Jersey Women's Refuge, who are celebrating 25 years of opening their doors!

The Refuge operates a 24 hour service to women and their children, who are affected by domestic abuse.

The monthly challenges will provide a variety of activities that demonstrate the hardship many women experience whilst living with domestic abuse.  They also raise awareness and aim to educate the public about the different aspects of abuse such as isolation and financial control as well as psychological and physical abuse.

Each challenge took place on the 25th of each month at different locations.

Each Shero Challenge that the Refuge took part in were recorded and turned into a short video, you can view all of them on our YouTube page, http://www.youtube.com/user/JerseyWomensRefuge/videos

You can also view them as well as keep up-to-date with all our latest events on our Facebook and twitter pages, www.facebook.com/womensrefuge

We want to thank everyone for supporting this yearlong campaign on our 25th anniversary, it really will make such a difference and enable us to keep our well needed 24 hour service open.
