Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Myself & my husband are both members of Sherwood Forest Rotary Club. We came up with an idea late last year to ride 1220 miles during our Rotary year (8th July 2020-end June 2021). We chose a charity close to the heart of the club & our hope was to raise a few pounds for this worthwhile cause.

Little did we know a couple of weeks later the world would be hit by a global pandemic. Our plans started to change in order to work around the current government social distancing guidelines.

Around 3 weeks before we were due to start Rotarian Sue Bevan (70 years) who is self isolating due to health concerns asked if she could take part in the ride in order to give her something to keep fit & focus on whilst staying at home.

Having thought about this, we came up with the idea that people of all ages & abilities could take part not just on cycles outside but on exercise bikes in the safety of their own homes.

Several other members of our own club then expressed an interest in taking part & so the distances came about all with a link to our Rotary District of 1220.

This was then opened up to Rotary colleagues, work colleagues & friends & at this present time we have 15 riders confirmed who are all doing distances they feel comfortable with but all with a sole purpose of challenging themselves, keeping fit & raising money for a good cause.
