2021 Virtual Jake Porter Duathlon

Shetland Triathlon Club is raising money for Children's Hospices Across Scotland, (CHAS)
In memory of Jake Porter
We're Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). We care for children throughout Scotland with life-shortening conditions and their families. We make sure that no matter how short their time together may be, it is filled with happiness. Even in the pain of grief, we're determined that joy lives on.

Story

Hello and thank you for visiting the 2021 Virtual Jake Porter Duathlon's JustGiving Page.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the event it has been held annually since 2013 to honour the memory of Jake Porter who passed away in 2012, aged 11. He was the son of a close friend and fellow Shetland Tri Club member and suffered from Infantile Battens Disease. Throughout his life he received care and support form CHAS who offer vital services to children with life-shortening conditions, and the club thought that hosting a charity event in his name would be a very fitting tribute. Since its inception the event has raised over £10,000 for the charity, and with your help we hope to raise another fantastic amount this year.
