Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

SHIPS stands for Supporting Head Injured Pupils in Schools.  Shine Together administers our funds which means more of the donated money can go where it is intended - to help young people who have sustained a major, life-changing injury.

The SHIPS Project is there to support young people who return to school after an injury.  Many schools and teachers have never taught anyone with a similar injury, but SHIPS is here to help.  We run our Lifeboats to support learning and training days to help teachers and parents understand the changes to learning and living after an ABI.  But we don't forget parents and siblings.  Parent Support Groups meet for chat and information sharing in a local pub, and we organise occasional jaunts to include the whole family.  Hopefully when we ride through the tunnels it will be a fun day out as well as a challenge and raise much needed funds.
