Story
Everyone loves a cuppa! Despite the coronavirus pandemic, you can still make yours count by holding a Brew Together event.
As most of you know I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in March following a colonoscopy to have what they thought was a plain old polyp removed.. Had my operation to remove over 10” of my bowel the tumour, my lymph nodes (and also my appendix 🤷♀️) biopsies where done on the lymph nodes and it was found that it had already started to spread to those so I am now currently on my 2nd round of chemotherapy to mop up any loose cancer spores that could have escaped.
I’m doing good on it though just a few symptoms from the oxaliplatin as it’s effects your nerve endings when you touch or drink anything cold (very weird sensation like electric shocks and sends my throat into spasms) I wear gloves most of the time especially if I need go in the fridge lol.
So I’m going to ask if you could help me to raise funds for a fantastic cause to help get this horrible disease diagnosed in the early stages as it’s a very slow burning cancer with little or no symptoms I was very lucky to get symptoms and got my diagnosis early lots are not this lucky and especially through the pandemic . Any amount of donations will be greatly received no matter how much. So I would like to thank you all in advance and let’s go and kick cancers arse and join me with a brew (I’m not allowed booze lol) on august 1st for bowel cancer 💙💙💙
