Shirley MacIntosh is raising money for Forever Young Club
Story
We are a small lunch club based in Carrickvale Community Centre in the Stenhouse area of Edinburgh. We have been providing a day service of activities, outings and access to lunch for forty elderly and socially isolated members of the local community for over thirteen years. Our main funding has stopped and without this our group would have to close around Christmas time.
Our club is a great source of companionship for our members and many have commented on it being a lifeline for them.
The closing of our club would be devasting for our members as for some it is the only day they get out of the house and have any social interaction.
