Shirley's Thames Bridges Trek page

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It has been twenty one years since we lost our little girl to neuroblastoma. In her memory I will be walking 23km across London, passing over 16 of the Thames' famous bridges and helping to support the £100k appeal by Neuroblastoma UK.
Many of you will not have heard of neuroblastoma but it is the second most common childhood cancer with a solid tumour and accounts for 15% of all paediatric cancer deaths. Children with neuroblastoma today will still have to endure many of the same drugs that Joanna had and although there have been improvements in treatment over the last 21 years - in particular immunotherapy - the prognosis for many children remains poor.
Please help me support the research that will improve the chances for children like Joanna. It would be lovely if you could make a donation.
So now I just have to make sure I'm up to the task of walking 23km.
