It has been less than 4 months since after a short bout of constipation, doctors at A&E first told Dhanu that they suspected she has cancer, in that time she has gone from being told she may have a rare cancer that affects 2 people in a million, through to being told she had weeks to live with a gastro cancer by a team of gastro specialist and then full circle where despite on first hearing the news of cancer we suggested a gynaelogical link to finding out that she has ovarian cancer - a cancer that is silent until it is advanced - and often with few symptoms before that point. Dhanu has gone from being one of the most active people in her age group that we knew to being bed bound, this walk is about those that love her so dearly showing her the love by doing something she in the last few years has grown to love - hiking! We hope this will inspire her to get back to hiking as soon as she can. We all know you have it in you.
