Story
Elephants are a big problem in Africa, as they can trample crops and destroy farmland. Damage like this can be critical to rural communities who rely on agricultural activities for their livelihood. The Elephant and Bees Project builds fences constructed out of African Honey Bees around rural farmland in villages where they are needed most. Because elephants are scared of African Honey Bees, these fences serve as a deterrence for elephants, along with aiding in pollination services and providing honey as another source of income for the local people.
After not cutting my hair for 9 years, I will be shaving my head on July 23rd to raise money for this project.
