Shona Morris is raising money for Girlguiding Epsom Division

I was lucky enough to get a ballot place to cycle RIDE LONDON which is a 100 mile bike ride following the road race route used for the London Olympics. I have decided that I wold like to support a very worthy cause to raise money for Epsom Girl Guides Division. They have a Campsite called Little Acres near Horton Country Park. It gives them an opportunity to camp and experience the outdoors in a safe and peaceful area. The campsite has electricity, running water and a toilet block.

They want to provide some indoor facilities, so plans were drawn up for a building. After many years of hard work they were granted planning permission in 2009 to build a ‘Lodge’ on Little Acres.

The Lodge will have wood panelling on the exterior, a porch and a walkway around it. There is to be a hall, kitchen, toilets and shower, First Aid room and storage rooms. The build is estimated to cost £110,000.
